MEETING SUMMARY
9:48–9:50 A.M. — MEETING SCHEDULE: Kelli said this week’s meeting was intended to move to Thursday and believed he had asked Aries to notify everyone. Runa said she might be unable to attend Thursday. Kelli instructed anyone unable to attend to notify him or Aries.
9:49 A.M. — TRIAL POSTPONED: Kelli confirmed the trial was postponed until THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, AT 5:00 P.M. SLT.
9:51–9:54 A.M. — CITIZEN CENSUS: Kelli tasked everyone with helping complete the census by the middle of next month. Dexter had distributed forms and instructed citizens to return them to the mailbox in front of the Scribe Hall. Runa had asked her father to complete the census as head of her household.
9:55–9:57 A.M. — MAILBOX AND LIBRARY ACCESS: Kelli requested notecards containing each Scribe’s SL name and UUID if they had not already been added. Runa volunteered to compile a consolidated list from the Scribes group by that evening. Kelli accepted and planned to add everyone by the end of the week, subject to his RL schedule.
9:59 A.M. — TRIAL PAPERWORK: Kelli directed Kati to have the advocates prepare all paperwork before the trial so it could be checked for completeness and order.
10:01–10:03 A.M. — SLAVE RECORDS: Dexter asked whether slaves, including kennel girls, needed census forms. Kelli said their slave registration forms and papers should cover them. An audit of the slave house records would be conducted soon to compare records.
10:07–10:11 A.M. — TRIAL PROCEDURE AND ACCESS REQUESTS: Kelli confirmed trials are open unless otherwise stated. He would decide this case’s verdict after hearing all testimony; he said jury trials are usually reserved for capital offenses or similar cases. Kati requested additional access and received permission to send her requests by notecard.
10:13 A.M. — NEXT WEEK’S MEETING: Kelli would announce the meeting day late Friday evening. It would be either TUESDAY AT 3:00 P.M. SLT OR THURSDAY AT 3:00 P.M. SLT. Anyone unable to attend should send Kelli or Aries a note to receive a copy of the meeting.
10:14–10:17 A.M. — HOME STONE SWEARING: Dexter asked when new citizens could swear to the Home Stone and who conducted the ceremony. Kelli believed the Ubar and Ubara were planning a ceremony after Friday’s meetings, but directed Dexter to confirm with the Ubara. The Ubar conducts these ceremonies.
10:18–10:19 A.M. — CLOSING: Kelli concluded the meeting and reminded Kati to submit her access requests by notecard for review when he was available.
